Style Tips: Fall Wedding Fashion

Autumn is a beautiful time to get married. The textures and the hues of the changing foliage provide a beautiful backdrop. The crisp fall weather allows for a comfortable outdoor ceremony where your guests aren’t frantically fanning themselves to cool down. And the sunsets are absolutely “pinterest”-perfect. With the colors and the weather transitioning, the biggest question remains; “WHAT DO I WEAR TO A FALL WEDDING?” Don’t fret! I’ve got some ideas you might just fall in love with.
Fall is a perfect time to add some earthy neutrals into your wardrobe. From beige to maroon to moss green, the autumn color palette is full of warm rustic shades. According to Vogue, the turtleneck is making a comeback this fall! So whether you’re a fan of the ultra high neck or not, this traditional piece definitely helps with keeping warm. If you’re looking to cover your legs from the brisk weather, show off your figure with a chic form fitting t-length dress. And since we want to make sure that the top half of your body stays toasty as well, wrap a cashmere shawl or cardigan around your shoulders. Complete the outfit with a few lighter colored shoes or accessories to brighten up the look.
For a more romantic appeal, focus on colors like cranberry or full-bodied red wine tones such as marsala. These tints pair well with lighter shades of grey or pink and add contrast to the ensemble. Let’s keep in mind that staying warm is a priority so drape your legs with a tulle maxi skirt like the one from Halston Heritage. Nothing says fall more than a cozy sweater. These bundles of fabric come in all shapes, sizes and styles. They even make a crop knit sweater to couple with a high wasted skirt. And since your skirt will basically cover your shoes, go for a fabulous pair of comfortable flats. Finally, add a little glitz and glamor to this romantic get-up with a statement necklace or pair of earrings.

While autumn certainly makes for a fabulous wedding, the temperature drop may leave you shivering! Don’t let the chilly weather be a buzz-kill to a great evening. There are plenty of chic, warmer styles that will allow you to stay glamorous and comfortable all night long.

Navy & Yellow Castle Hill Wedding

Autumn is a perfect time to "fall" in love. What better way to celebrate love than a wedding at Castle Hill Inn, claimed to be "the most romantic retreat in New England" by Forbes in 2015. A&B's wedding was nothing short of romantic.

Love is in the crispy autumn air as A&B have their first look.

Touches of art-deco chic mix well with the yellow and navy color palette.
Instead of flowers, A&B opted for a traditional cake topper of a bride and groom.

Family and friends were encouraged to write messages of love on a wooden monogram for A&B to hang in their home.

Even though it got chilly after the sun went down, everyone was able to stay warm.

Ending the night on an even sweeter note, all guests were offered boxed Godiva chocolates as a party favor!
